The freedom of being different

At some point in life, you face an identity crisis wherein everyday you find yourself questioning your identity, your existence. And it hurts. It hurts because you don't find the answers you're looking for, and in that process you tend to look for solutions through peeping into the lives of others. You start comparing your life to theirs, and you make yourself believe that their life is better than yours. And the idea inside your head that they're a lot prettier and funnier and smarter than you, tends to make you feel low about your own self.

And that's exactly when you need to give yourself a reality check- just because they appear to be 'oh-so-amazing' in front of people, does not mean they're in any way better than you. They're all people, and they all have their own set of problems. The only difference is that they're confident about themselves, which is why they tend to project themselves in a better fashion in front of others. And that's all you need- Just a dash of confidence and a belief that you're beautiful in your own way. Don't try to fit in- There's an exhilarating sense of freedom in being different. Learn to cherish your existence, and appreciate who you truly are. Do what makes you happy. And you will find your answers.
